Thank you to all who came along to support us at the Southampton Cat Protection / Vets 4 Ppets first rehoming day.
We made over £500 on the stalls and 12 cats were successfully found new homes 4 being actually homed on the day after home visits that afternoon. Many thanks again, here's to the next one !
Volunteer of year awards
As you all already know Carolyne our co-ordinator was nominated for an award this year and she won the Leading Light award. Carolyne, Kenny, Sue, Lee and Debbie set out for the AGM at HQ on a very wet/cold day, it was a lovely day and quite a crowd there, Carolyne was presented with her award by Heather McCann the Chairman of the Trustees. Carolyne was then very surprised to receive a further award ! The Trustees’ Distinguished Service Award
The Trustees’ Distinguished Service Award
This was a separate award for which all of the category winners were eligible. The Trustees Distinguished Service Award is for those who the Trustees feel have shown an exceptional level of commitment and worthy of special recognition. From over 8000 volunteers to choose from this was quite an achievement to be proud of, Carolyne did comment that she could not have moved our Branch forward without the help and support of all our volunteers !
We all congratulate you Carolyne on a very worthy Win, keep up the fantastic work, we're all right behind you !
Southampton Cats Protection is run by a network of volunteers dedicated to ensuring the welfare of cats in the Southampton area.
We:

Provide an adoption service for cats and kittens;

Foster cats and kittens until we find them a new home;

Offer a 'Home to Home' service and help connect people trying to rehome their cat with a new owner;

Assist with the management of feral colonies - neutering and socialising kittens;

Attend fundraising events to raise vital funds;

Help missing cats find their owners.
